As confirmation of the specific know-how grown over the time, in 1993 LTF Spa was officially recognized by ACCREDIA, the Italian Accreditation body, as a Calibration Center with LAT accreditation no. 067 (as per the accreditation table). Located within the headquarters in Antegnate, the center disposes of two Metrological Laboratories with controlled temperature and humidity conditions where a highly qualified technical staff is able to respond to the widest needs for correct calibrations.
Starting from the first SIT accreditation in 1993, LTF Calibration Center progressively expands its operational sectors to include: dimensional instruments/samples (such as parallel plane blocks, vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, etc.), roughness samples, hardness testing machines and accessories (hardness test blocks, indenters and durometers) for the Rockwell, Brinell and Vickers tests and boasts the merit of having been the first Italian company accredited for calibration of profile projectors, and currently, the only accredited center for calibration of hardness test blocks.
Calibrations allow determining the indication error of measuring instruments and systems (as well as the values of the samples being calibrated), in order to guarantee reliable measurement results. Calibrations are carried out by comparing the indication of the instrument, or the value represented by a sample, with the measurement of corresponding known values with the related measurement uncertainties.
The calibration process of instruments and samples carried out by our Center is harmonized with the ISO/IEC 17025 standard and consists of a comparison with a reference sample of higher level, thus allowing the measurements produced by the same instruments to acquire the fundamental property of metrological traceability to national or international specimens.
LTF Spa is also present on the Italian territory in the form of a Partnership with a second Calibration Center in Frosinone with LAT accreditation no. 012. This second establishment is further confirmation of the specialist experience in the field of Metrology. The Laboratory is currently accredited by our national accreditation body ACCREDIA as the LAT N° 067 Calibration Center for the calibration of the instruments listed in the accreditation table. Thanks to this accreditation, and by virtue of the current mutual recognition agreements, the Calibration Certificates issued by the LTF Metrological Laboratory are fully valid at a European level (EA-MLA) and at an international level (ILAC-MRA). The Calibration Centers represent a point of reference for all other commercial operators and for many industrial sectors where there is a need to guarantee and measure production processes. This commitment identifies LTF Spa as a professional operator of absolute seriousness in all its fields of application and commercial offering.
